Nylon Monofilament Non-Absorbable Suture
DESCRIPTION
Monomid® is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers nylon type 6 or nylon type 6/6. Monofilament nylon suture may be either dyed black (logwood), dyed blue (FD&C Blue No.2) or white (undyed).
CHARACTERISTICS
Nylon exhibits:
• Uniform diameter of the suture
• Maximum flexibility of the strand
• Excellent and consistent knot security
• Minimal memory
TENSILE STRENGTH
